“Niebla does not aim to be a direct musical dramatic realization of the 1914 novel of the same name by the Spanish philosopher Miguel de Unamuno […]. In the musical theatre version the central metaphor of fog [niebla] motivates the formal principle of variation and permutation: five different basic situations from the novel are repeated, either musically or in a scenically altered form. “

Elena Mendoza-López

studied composition with Manfred Trojahn and Hanspeter Kyburz, among others. She lives and works in Berlin.

Matthias Rebstock

works as a director and musical director in the area of new music theatre. He is a professor at the Institute for Music and Musicology at the University of Hildesheim.
